Our mantra is at the core of our teachings, and guides how we develop our students’ mindsets and instill what we believe are our Core Character Strengths. Training with us extends far beyond the court, as we help build better people who can achieve the success they create in their lives.
WHO IS EVOLVE?
Evolve is a premium Youth Basketball Player Development Academy based in Fort Bend County, Texas. At Evolve, our key objectives are to:
1. ENHANCE INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
At Evolve we are dedicated to developing offensive and defensive skills and concepts, actions and coverages, decision making and basketball IQ that truly impact performance on the court. We strive not just to improve student’s skill levels, but to develop more effective and efficient basketball players.
2. ENHANCE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
We explicitly teach our core character strengths of Self-Confidence, Open-Mindedness, Industriousness, Perseverance, Self-Reflection, and Ambition, and consistently reinforce them throughout our coaching. We strongly believe that developing these key areas will help to put our students in positions to achieve and be successful, both on and off the court.
3. INSPIRE A LOVE OF THE GAME
The infectious passion that drives our coaching allows us to consistently deliver fun, engaging, and challenging development sessions.  We create a positive and safe learning environment where students are motivated and supported to grow and achieve.
OUR TEAM
Evolve coaches are Licensed USA Basketball Gold Coaches and have undergone a background screening by Sterling Volunteers. Our coaches are also Double-Goal Coaches (a certification by the Positive Coaching Alliance), and are First Aid certified.
JIM CORRIGALL
Founder / Director of Player Development
Jim played professional basketball in Hong Kong, China for Hong Kong’s most successful team, South China Athletic Association, where he was a part of the A1 Division Championship Team (2016), a two-time Silver Shield Winner (2015-16), and a two-time Commercial Cup Winner (2015-16).
Jim’s basketball journey is one that is ongoing and has provided him with a wealth of experiences, opportunities and life lessons that have helped him to continually evolve as a person, a player, and a coach. Over his 18 years of experience, Jim has had the privilege of coaching hundreds of young people between the ages of 4 and 18 years old.
This journey inspired him to create Evolve as a way to share his passion, knowledge, and teaching philosophy with today’s youth.
